Mosaic is more than a market though, it provides artists with financial and business support to develop their creative ideas. Much of Mosaic's work is carried out in some of the most deprived neighbourhoods in the city. Experienced artists are involved with the project, providing hands-on help for the newcomers. Mosaic is hoping to find a large, multi-purpose space to run workshops and exhibitions in Leeds, helping to promote the arts and the regeneration of Leeds. Now into its third year, Mosaic's market helps local artists to sell work through the fortnightly arts and crafts fair. All products are ethically produced and handcrafted and the stalls sell a range of hand-crafted jewellery, bags, cards and glass. Entertainment from a DJ and performers often helps to liven up the atmosphere. New stallholders are always welcome. Examples of the type of product we are looking for are: bags, scarves, clothing, cards, paintings/drawings, photographs, pottery, carved objects, jewellery, textile work, home- made candles, re-cycled and reclaimed crafts, fair-trade products, essential oils etc. The market is open from 11am to 4pm on the second and fourth Sundays of each month and is at Chancellor's Court, behind the Corn Exchange in Leeds City Centre.
