English Civil War re-enactment. Earl Rivers Regiment is a Royalist Regiment within the Sealed Knot Society. We are presently and historically based at Donnington Castle, just north of Newbury.
We are a family orientated Regiment and welcome all comers from all walks of life.

Chiseldon Local History Group is a group of people brought together by their interest in the history of this area of Wiltshire and their belief that this history should be recorded for future generations.

About the Club:
Training at the club is done using positive methods with the emphasis on teaching the owner how to train their dog, recognising that all dogs and their owners are individuals. Responsible dog ownership is also strongly encouraged. Information in the form of handouts and in-class discussion is given in all the classes

We have a range of classes including:
Obedience/companion dog training
Puppy classes including socialisation & training
Show handling classes (Juniors & Adults)

Tuesdays: from 6pm onwards

Classes are 50 min sessions and cost £5 per session

Marcham Society was formed to promote interest in the local history and natural history of the area

Burghfield Art Group provides a space for local artists to meet, and make and discuss their work in a friendly environment.

All members are encouraged to have a say in what they want from the group, such as teaching sessions, guest speakers, projects and exhibitions.

The group meets every Tuesday from 19:30 - 21:00 at The Parish Centre,
St. Mary's Church, Church lane,
Burghfield Village, RG30 3TG. Fees are £4 per session.

Established in 1996 by Philip Larsson & Trevor Priest, Berkshire Tai Chi runs regular weekly classes in Tilehurst at the Denefield School, Long Lane, RG31 6XY.

A new class for the Over 50s is scheduled for 16th June 2010. This is an 8-week taster and goes from 15:30 - 16:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. The programme is run in conjunction with Age Concern and is free. A small charge will be levied after the 8 weeks have expired.

Berkshire Paranormal Group is a small group of people with an interest in the paranormal. We are a mix of skeptics and believers. We conduct investigations throughout Berkshire and beyond. Club for over 60's - held every other Wednesday at the Lansdowne Hall. Members enjoy a freshly cooked two-course hot meal and the opportunity for companionship and to share news.
Membership is full at present, but ckeck this space for news of vacancies.
Thanks go to all who voluntarily help to run this club for the older members of the community.

Pilates Matwork classes held at The Lansdowne Hall Derry Hill on Wednesday lunchtimes from 1-2 pm. New courses commence half-termly and are suitable for all levels of ability.
