Unveiled in the 1920s naming 15 who were killed in the Great War(of which 9 were Northumberland Fusiliers) The names of 3 who died during the 1939-1945 War were added later.

Dist:0.2km<br/>The Chapel opened in 1862(at a cost of about £500). It was enlarged in 1879 and a sunday school building was added in 1904.The Chapel closed in 2005. A plaque recording the names of Methodists who died during the War was re-located in St. Peter's Church,Humshaugh, in 2007.

Dist:0.3km<br/>The Pant(water supply) was installed at the southern end of Burn Lane during the Crimean war, in 1854. The Evans Almshouses were provided by Mrs Evans of Simonburn Cottage in 1864.

Dist:0.4km<br/>Keys to the Past Web Site This pair of houses were built in the 17th century and altered in the 19th and later 20th centuries. Dale House is the larger building and was built as a bastle, probably in the early 17th century. Although it was completely rebuilt in 1667 it still has some typical bastle features, including its central byre doorway in the east wall and large quoin stones at the south-east corner. A datestone over the doorway records the initials TD and MD and the date 1667. Dale Cottage was built a little later in the 17th century and was also a bastle. Here, the south wall and east gable date from this time, but the cottage has also been remodelled, probably in the later 18th century

Dist:0.5km<br/>Located in the centre of the village, The Crown Inn, Humshaugh has been a focus of the social life of the village for many years. Now operated as a village pub, with simple food and accommodation, many visitors to the village and locals alike enjoy time spent here.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Consecrated as a Chapel of Ease in 1818, distinctive features of the Church include the surviving box pews, the absence of a central aisle and the combination of two styles of arch. St Peter's is part of a Benefice of three churches the others being St Mungo's, Simonburn and St Michael's, Wark.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Keys to the Past Web Site: Humshaugh House was once known as the Manor House and was built in the early 18th century. However, there are traces of an older structure inside, especially the 1.2m thick central wall. This may be the remains of a 17th century bastle There are also traces of an earlier building in the garden wall.
