Dist:1.0km west<br/>This station has two pumping appliances. It was built in the 1960s to the 'Middlesex' design like many of the other local fire stations.

Dist:1.0km north<br/>The former Beaver Lane army camp was sold by the government in the late 1990's. It became one of the largest new development sites near Heathrow Airport and it is now occupied by British Airways.

Dist:1.0km south<br/>Looking north, just north of the railway. The path along the river and across Hounslow Heath is part of the London Loop.

Dist:1.0km east<br/>Taken looking north from the London Loop path. The heath used to be notorious as the haunt of highwaymen. Now most of it has been absorbed by Heathrow Airport, light industry and housing.

Dist:1.0km west<br/>At the junction of Staines Road and River Gardens. The shops include an employment agency.

Dist:1.0km south<br/>Looking north, train is going into London from Windsor or Weybridge, service run by South West Trains. A 1940s map shows substantial railway sidings on the area which is now rough grass in the foreground.

Dist:1.0km east<br/>This is an area of flat grassland on the heath. Looking north. Buildings in the background are on Staines Road, which is a Roman Road.

Dist:1.0km east<br/>This is about two miles from the Heathrow runway, with a plane landing about once per minute. In a walk on the heath I met no other people for an hour, but it wasn't a quiet walk with planes landing all the time. Photo looking north.
