Dist:0.3km<br/>Someone (maybe official or unofficial) has added a second name plate which is not that old (a few years at most). Hounsley Batch refers to the small hamlet just down the way but the road is actually named Whitling Street. Incidentally, it is passable in a car with a little care.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Nailed to a wooden gatepost beside the aqueduct, this little blue marker bears witness to past measurements. However, being placed on a wooden post seems not too permanent so perhaps the survey was less demanding than the O.S.
