The road junction of Kilmorey Park Road and Kilmorey Park, Hoole, Chester. It is named after the Kilmorey Family who inherited the land previously owned by Charles Hurleston Esq. Upon his death, became the property of his niece Anne, who married her second husband Henry John Needham Lord Viscount Kilmorey.

Dist:0.2km<br/>While looking around the War Memorial on Hoole Road, Chester, this simple wooden cross, upset me when you see just how young this soldier was when he died. On the War Graves Commission web site, Private Lawson G. of the Cheshire Regiment, 'D' Coy. 1st./5th. Bn. Date of death, shown as 21.9.1916, Service No. 2503. Buried at the Delville Wood Cemetery, Longueval, France

Dist:0.2km<br/>There are five War Memorials in Hoole dedicated to the memory of the men of Hoole who lost their lives in the two World Wars. Three of the memorials are Rolls of Honour, two are in All Saints Church, the third was in the Elms Town Hall. When the Elms was demolished, it was removed and re-hung in the Hoole Community Centre above the fireplace in the main hall. The forth memorial is heard but never seen. It is the tolling bell in the tower of All Saints Church. It was added to the existing five bells in 1925 and is inscribed with the names of the dead of the First World War so that their names ring out for ever. The fifth memorial is probably the most widely known. It is the cross on Hoole Road opposite the Elms site. The cross, its matching base and memorial wall are built of red sandstone from St. Bees, Cumberland. It was designed by Mr. R Boot and was unveiled at a ceremony on 11th. September 1949 by Major General G M Elliot.

Dist:0.3km<br/>No. 12 Westminster Road, started out as the Mission Rooms, built in the 1850's. It was used by many different people including the Boys Brigade and Westminster Schools as well as religious purposes. Jones' Bakery moved into the building in 1900 and when they moved to Charles Street [now P A Davies'], Lewis' Ice Cream took over this site. http://www.lewis-chester.co.uk/2570/frames.php
