Dist:0.3km<br/>A narrow passage runs round the parish church, with an alley through to Mandeville's bakery, a very old-established business. These houses at the rear of the church are some of the oldest in the village.

Dist:0.4km<br/>A long-established, family-run business, Morreys sits squarely at the centre of the village by one of a pair of mini-roundabouts. The latter provide many hours of amusement to the locals when the M6 is blocked and HGVs try to escape via Holmes Chapel. Morreys range of hardware, bikes, pet goods and garden items is outstanding: if they haven't got it, you probably don't need it!

Dist:0.4km<br/>Phase 1 of the large estate on the lands surrounding Bridge Farm was constructed in 1995. Seen from the original access to the farm near the railway bridge.

Dist:0.4km<br/>Fast becoming surrounded by the Chapelmead estate. Phase 1 was mostly complete by December 1995 and work had already started on Phase 2, behind the farmhouse. The farmhouse remains a private residence.

Dist:0.4km<br/>A stone plaque on the downstream side of the bridge reads "Tho. Hall Ironmaster 1707". The walk from Twemlow Viaduct along the Dane is very pleasant.
