Xmas Scene on the Somerset Levels. Picture taken looking NE towards Easton. The levels were ablaze with sunshine but the Mendips, in the background, had a cap of cloud all morning. I assume this was orographic in the NE wind (air rising over the Mendips forming a cloud that dispersed as the air descended on the other side).

Dist:0.8km<br/>The river, fringed by himalayan balsam, cuts across the northeast edge of the square. Not very big, but then there is a Lower River Axe running a mile to the south, the two having separated at Wookey. The lane is heading from Knowle Bridge to Bleadney.
