Dist:1.0km north<br/>This train was comprised of 2 sets of vehicles, each of different colours. Unfortunately, I can't remember what they were and, because I had to take the photograph on the shaded side, they don't show up, terribly well.

Dist:1.0km north<br/>This image seems to show up the colour differences, mentioned in the previous post, a little more markedly. I travelled on the section Mottingham - London Bridge, and v.v, on several occasions and couldn't understand why we didn't always seem to pass through this station. When I got home, to N.Z., I studied a map and was soon able to put my mind at rest - I wasn't going to sleep at the critical times, after all - there is a line which by-passes Lewisham Station and, presumably, especially at Peak times, some services took the by-pass. Easy when you know how/why.

I am standing outside a shop which specialises in cosmetic and hair products for Afro-Caribbean people and which also has worldwide money transfer services. Across the road is an internet cafe and a Sri-Lankan restaurant. And on the far left, in the window of the off licence, are numerous posters advertising special rates for overseas phone calls. Just after taking this picture, I ate at a Turkish restaurant on nearby Lewis Grove. Lewisham is indeed a very diverse area.
