Dist:1.3km southwest<br/>A small scale high quality salt works using vacuum evaporation technology. Closed 2006 and was one of the last (if not the last) sites with a reciprocating steam engine power house. This ran 24/7 generating power for the site. On this particular occasion it was the annual shut-down and two fitters were completing an overhaul of the steam engines.

Dist:1.4km southwest<br/>One of two engines driving alternators and operating 24/7 until 2006. They have now been removed. This was possibly the last regularly working reciprocating steam power house in the UK.
