Looking across the offshore breakwater, known as Neptune's Arm, towards the remains of the end of the old pier. In the distance can be seen the turbines of the Kentish Flats Wind Farm, which is 8 to 10 miles out to sea. It is owned by the European energy company Vattenfall.

This RHIB regularly takes groups of up to 15 people on excursions out into the Thames estuary. Trips include visits to Kentish Flats wind farm (visible in the background), seal spotting and also to the Maunsell Forts. Shivering Sands Fort [[TR1382]] can just about be seen on the horizon as indistinct blocks between a pair of wind turbines.
