Dist:0.5km<br/>The pub is one of two in the village and is situated opposite St James' church and next to Hartlebury CE First School (soon to be Hartlebury Church of England Primary School). We waited for the tractor to come by to get a true rural picture but the car sneaked in at the last minute!

Dist:0.6km<br/>This is the local British Legion Club. The branch meets here monthly. The club also includes a pub (open to non-members) known as The Hartlebury. This has been advertised in recent issues of the local Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) branch newsletter. The British Legion's website mentions that the future of the branch is under discussion. How this might affect these facilities is unknown. It is perhaps unfortunate that the club/pub is tucked away on the edge of the village, at the end of a narrow lane and not easy to find. Dist:0.6km<br/>The white hart was the heraldic symbol of King Richard II, who became king at the age of just nine in 1377. The white hart (which is a male deer or stag) is often portrayed with a golden chain or collar around his neck. This stems from the legend, reported by Aristotle, of Diomedes consecrating a white hart to Diana, the goddess of the hunt, and placing a gold collar around its neck. The sign of the White Hart remains very popular today, although this pub doesn't date back to King Richard's reign, but perhaps was connected to a local hunt. [[2747120]].

Dist:0.6km<br/>The pub is on the B4193 road, opposite the local church. In recent years the pub had become rather mediocre and seemed in danger of becoming another basket case. Fortunately in 2010 it was purchased by an experienced chef, who seems to have turned the pub's fortunes around. It describes itself as a country pub and restaurant. [[2747157]].

Dist:0.7km<br/>A memorial in Hartlebury churchyard to Edward James Gibbons, a Barrister, who died at sea en route to South Africa in 1900 with the City Imperial Volunteers. This memorial was dedicated by his brothers, sisters and friends.
