COMPASS is a new and innovative person-centred service providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and/or enduring mental health issues living in their own home in Winchester and the Test Valley area.
Southern Focus Trust is holding a recruitment event for potential candidates to have the opportunity to come along and find out about a career working in the support and care sector; you ll be able to look into the variety

Taking the Notting Hill Carnival as a starting point, Trinidad born Michael La Rose will be talking about its fascinating history and the origins of the first Caribbean Carnival in Britain. Along with stunning images, the talk will be accompanied by some wonderful live music provided by the Keith Waithe Carnival Quintet, combining influences of multi cultural Britain with the Caribbean and featuring steel pan player Aubrey Bryan.

Understanding Your Body

This evening Tania Sellwood, Ad. Dip. HSc. (Naturopathy), Dip. HSc. (Herbal Medicine), Dip. HSc. (Nutrition) ACNM, EAV Practitioner will help us to listen to our bodies signs and signals so that we can tap into better health and healthier living. Naturopathy is based upon the belief that the body possesses an inherent ability to heal itself. Tania will help us to recognise what our bodies are trying to say by looking at indicators in the iris, tongue, nails and body fluids. Tania will also look at lifestyle and diet in assessing health and preventing disease.
