Dist:0.2km<br/>Leading eastward off from the Welland Road. This is now a dead end, but footpaths continue what may have been old routeways. "End"s are common around this part of Worcestershire. there are several in the Hanley Swan area, each representing a hamlet sized area of dwellings within the disbursed community. There are Gilbert's End, Robert's End, Haylers end and Blackmore End all within a mile.

Dist:0.2km<br/>Probably built between the wars as agricultural workers cottages. Located on the Welland Road between Picken End road (to the right) and The Ewe & Lamb pub to the left. Large gardens, but no garages. Many will have been bought up and sold on as private houses.

Dist:0.2km<br/>Once a lovely and ancient pub. Alas no more; much of the land has gone over to new development and someone has gained a wonderful timber framed home. The green has been retained as an open space by the parish council.

Dist:0.3km<br/>A Church of England "controlled" school on the Welland Road next to the village hall.
It was built around 1861 as a "school for the education of children and adults or children only of the Labouring, Manufacturing or other poorer classes."
In 1947 it became solely a primary school.
Notice how the older part of the school, with Malvern granite walls, looks just like a chapel - for indeed it was also used as a chapel of ease for the inhabitants of the Swan Green area (now called Hanley Swan) until St Gabriel's church was built.
