Dist:0.3km<br/>The first Baptist church met in Spitalfields, London in 1612. Baptists were present in Hanham in 1658 when persecution forced the to hold secret meetings in Hanham Woods. The Act of Toleration was passed in 1689, and in 1714 the first building was erected on this site. Dist:0.7km<br/>A mixture of houses and other buildings of varying ages from the old cottages on the left, probably used by coal miners from the Troopers Hill mine to the modern houses further down the hill, the enlarged version gives more detail at the bottom. The No.44 bus is on its way to the City Centre. Away in the distance, almost centre, Kelston Round Hill is recognisable on the skyline. [[ST7167]]

Dist:0.7km<br/>Possibly miner's cottages though there were quarries in the area as well. Many a year since miners or quarry workers lived in them, much improved since then inside and out.
