Dist:0.4km north<br/>This bridge provides pedestrian and cycle access to Victoria Park across the A12 East Cross Route at Hackney Wick. The view is looking south-east; the park is behind us, the road to the right leads to Bow and the Blackwall Tunnel and to the left leads to the M11.

Dist:0.5km east<br/>In the short time that the organisation has existed, London Overground has made a commendable effort to improve this benighted station. Graffiti has been removed, new signage provided, and the small waiting rooms have been cleaned. The station is also now staffed the entire time that it is open. Proof that things can be made better, if we really want to.

Dist:0.6km east<br/>These electric units, which date from the late 1970s, will be replaced within two years by new Class 378 units, which are already on order for this service. This is the North London line between Richmond and Stratford, and this train is eastbound.

Dist:0.6km east<br/>The Overground only took over about two months before this photograph was taken, but already Hackney Wick station looks much better, with graffiti removed and new signs. There are trains each way every 15 minutes here - westbound to Richmond, and eastbound to Stratford. Furthermore the station is staffed for the whole of the working day.

However, some of these are derelict and it may not be long before this row, too, becomes part of history. The houses here are numberede from 79 down, (all numbers). The previous name of this road was Gainsborough Road.
