Dist:0.7km<br/>The museum sign is a few hundred metres before the actual museum. The engine house is Daubuz's engine house of South Wheal Francis.

Dist:0.8km<br/>Both built in 1892, in the foreground is the winding engine house and the pumping engine house is at the rear. The stack on the latter was originally higher but was damaged by a lightning strike in 1897. Wheal Grenville closed in 1920.

Dist:0.8km<br/>Standing on the western edge of the mining complex surrounding Marriott's shaft at South Wheal Francis and looking out towards Newton Moor you can see two earlier engine houses. The one on the right housed a pumping engine and the one further away housed a winding engine, both served a mine shaft known Pascoe.
