Dist:0.2km<br/>Also the site of the former Greatstone-On-Sea station built in 1937 when the line was realigned to serve the newly planned resorts of Greatstone and Lydd-On-Sea. Both failed to materialise and the station was downgraded to a halt in 1954 and closed with the rest of the line in 1967. The remaining platforms were demolished in 1983 and the area levlled to provide a car park for the nearby school.

Dist:0.3km<br/>The station lay on the line from Appledore to New Romney. It was opened on 4 July 1937 and closed on 6 March 1967. It was built on a new alignment to handle an expected influx of traffic from the new Maddieson holiday camp, hotels and residential development but this did not materialise as holidaymakers were more likely to use the two Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway stations nearby.

Both failed to materialise and the station was downgraded to a halt in 1954 and closed completely in 1967. The platforms were demolished in 1983.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Greatstone village is situated between the New Romney coastline and the Shingle banks of Dungeness Nature Reserve. In the foreground is Red Valerian (Centranthus ruber) a typical coastal plant.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Greatstone is located at the northern edge of the Dungeness shingle bank which also formed the southern headland of the inlet that was once New Romney harbour. The inlet still existed in the 19th century and was only closed in 1900 when the movement of shingle from the north coupled with the building of sea walls finally closed it. This looks onto the houses in Roberts Road and Baldwin Road.

Dist:0.5km<br/>The original St Peter's Church was built in the 1950s as a wooden hall further up Baldwin Road than the present church. Then most of Greatstone was shingle and sand dunes, with only a few houses, a railway station, and a holiday camp that had started just after the Second World War. The present building was opened in 1962 by Michael Ramsey, Archbishop of Canterbury. The shape of the building is intended to reflect the shape of a boat.
