![Dist:0.3km<br/>The superb traditional Stanley Park - named after Blackpool's first MP, Sir George Stanley - was first opened in 1926. The Italian Gardens are the central focus of the park with all other features radiating out from this area. The gardens are currently being refurbished thanks to some National Lottery funding.
The two Lions, one on each side of the steps leading down to the gardens from the Cafe area, are supposedly from the 1500s ... I can personally vouch for them being there in 1950!
