Faversham Arriba! Wellness Club - Community Weight Loss Challenge

1st Faversham Scout Group
A large and very active Scout Group founded in 1908. We cover all age ranges up to Young Leaders, including a Beaver Colony, Cub Pack, two Scout Troops and an Explorer Unit. We meet at the fabulous Shepherd's Park just south of Faversham, which is also the Faversham District Scout Camp.

Jelly Legs Running Club
Jelly Legs Running Club provides everyone with the opportunity to get active and begin running for fun and fitness. We provide a welcoming social, non-competitive environment in which people of any fitness level, age, size or ability have the opportunity to run together to improve their health, fitness and confidence. Baton Twirling
Twirling a baton is a complex and demanding sport. It is a sport for girls and boys, women and men. It is also a challenging sport and when mastered it can be thrilling to watch and perform.
The British Baton Twirling Sports Association is the leading light in Baton Twirling in the British Isles.

Scenic Baton Twirlers
Scenic Baton Twirlers train at the Singleton Village Hall, Ashford Kent, on Monday evenings. We do Baton Twirling and pom poms. Baton Twirling is a great Sport for all Boys and girls. We take part in Competitions and fetes. We are members of the(BBTSA)British Baton Twirling sports Association.
South Ashford Football Club
South Ashford Football Club was formed in 2007 as an alternative to the many clubs that look towards the win at all cost attitude.
Our aim is to allow youngsters the opportunity to have fun and enjoy learning the art of football,
At South Ashford FC we aim to play competitive football but with the idea of ensuring that all players enjoy playing the game without all the pressure a must win attitude can inflict, winning is part of our aims but is not essential with emphasis on teaching good sportsmanship, working in a team environment and developing key skills to help players
to progress in our sport.
Our main aim is to produce talented players for the future.

for all people living with Multiple Sclerosis. Monthly Drop in 2nd Tuesday in month at Cade Rd Church Hall Ashford - Drop by for a cuppa and a chat. 10-Noon.
Music Mayhem
Music Mayhem is a preschool Children's music group for children aged 6 weeks to 4 years.
We offer fun and education through the singing of traditional and new nursery rhymes and songs. Sessions are 45 minutes long and are a fun friendly and informal way for parents and childen to meet new people and have a great time.
This is a pay as you go session, so no need to book, you can just turn up.
We are running at Bearsted WI Hall from the 30th June 2010 and then Every Wednesday (even through the school holidays!!!)
Session times are 1.30-2.30pm and cost is £3.50 per child, £1 per sibling.

Hawkinge Flyers Twirling & Pom Pom Team
We train at the Churchill School in Hawkinge every Saturday morning. We twirl batons, flags, hoops,ribbons, shake pom poms and this year Twirling Riffles. Southend Seaxe Fencing Club
Swap watching film duelling for trying some of the real thing! The only ClubSX-accredited fencing club, and right here in Southend. For both adults and children, mainly Wednesday nights plus ad-hoc lessons and training sessions on request.
We have an established community presence and linked with both the local School Sports Partnership and the local Essex University Southend campus. We also promote fencing further afield around Essex, and are responsible for Essex Youth Games and Essex Corporate Games fencing events.
Arriba Wellness Club
Based in Maidstone and the surrounding areas, the Arriba Wellness Club is a non-profit community group providing education and support to adults in Maidstone and the surrounding areas, working in partnership with the "Change 4 Life" Government run campaign.
The Arriba Wellness Club is being introduced to help adults understand how to lose weight and lead healthier lifestyles, which in turn, will help them pass this information onto their whole family.
The Arriba Wellness Club provides adults with a friendly environment, that will ensure great advice and dedicated leaders, the club is designed to help individuals achieve all their wellness and weight loss goals.
The community Weight Loss Challenge is a 12 week course.
Over the 12 week course we will educate you on key information that will help you lose weight the right way for you, and keep it off for good. You will also learn the importance of teaching your family about Nutrition Education, and simply leading a healthier, more active lifestyle. At the end of the 12 weeks the biggest loser in the group will win £300. The 2nd will win £200 & the 3rd will win £100.
You can join the full 12 week course for just £35 (£2.91 per week) The club is a non profit making venture, all monies collected are used for prize money and to cover the cost of running the course.
All stated prizes are based on 30 participants and each class is limited to a maximum of 40.
Additional classes will be provided if demand requires.
Timaru Model Car Racing Club
Timaru MCRC is affiliated to the BSCRA. We meet on Tuesday nights from 8pm and race 1/32 and 1/24 scale slot cars on our purpose built 4 lane 90 foot lap length track.
Spare cars and controllers are always available for visitors to try their hand.
Club members also compete in regional and national competitions.
Cheriton Community weight loss challenge club
We meet every Tuesday evening at 18.30 at All Souls Church Hall Cheriton, Folkestone for a community weight loss challenge. This involves being weighed, measured and body fat tested. There are weekly educational talks on Nutrition which also includes quizes, there is also coaching, tips & advice around good Nutrition. Cost is £3 a week
Folkestone Arriba weight loss challenge club
A new concept in weight loss clubs begins on Monday 27th April 09 at 11.00am at New Salvation Army hall, Canterbury Road Folkestone. We are registered with the Change 4 life program. 4th Rochford Scout Group
4th Rochford Scout Group is lucky to have sole ownership of a large secure hall and activity field enclosed by palisade fencing. The aim of the group is to give kids 'everyday adventure'. Each section runs activities throughout the year. Examples of which are camping, climbing, kayaking, bushcraft, abseiling, sailing, hiking, crafts & pioneering.
We have a large Beaver, Cub and Scout section as well as having links with the Lynx explorer group.
Beavers (6-8yrs) and Cubs (8-10yrs) meet Tuesdays, Scouts (10-14yrs) Wednesdays.
