Dist:0.2km<br/>The current pond is a modern construction though interestingly Yeakell & Gardner's 1778-83 map has one at this location on the old Dicker Common. I'm assuming it went during the enclosure as neither the 1839 tithe map or 1875 OS map has one marked.

Dist:0.4km<br/>Originally a mission church of the Congregationalists that opened in the first decade of the 20th century and closed sometime in the 1960s. Now a private residence located in the small hamlet of Holmes Hill.

Dist:0.4km<br/>I feel these are more incongruous than a normal mast. Brickfields Farm's name gives a clue to the activity on this part of the Dicker Common before enclosure in the 19th century.

Dist:0.4km<br/>Small hamlet on the A22 viewed here from Lewes Road, the B2124. Part of the land here was once part of Dicker Common which stretched from this point east to the modern day Boship Roundabout near Hailsham. The common survived until the 19th century when it was enclosed.

Dist:0.4km<br/>Running in a straight line from the parish boundary with Ripe towards Golden Cross. The lane originally existed as a track over Dicker Common until the latter's enclosure in 1813 and the road on the ground copied the exact line drawn with a ruler over the plan.
