Dist:0.2km<br/>The tramway from Brigden's chalk pit on the side of mount Caburn once crossed Glynde Reach at this point on its way to a couple of limekilns located in Glynde's goods yard. Much of the route can still be traced including the crossing under Ranscombe Lane, see [[2661083]], the cutting through [[2662400]] and the embankments carrying [[2662401]] out of shot to the right. The embankment on the other bank curves round to join the Lewes-Eastbourne line.

Dist:0.2km<br/>Tucked away behind Trevor Gardens and accessed only via the public footpath that links Glynde to Beddingham. A nice pronounced slope is visible on the right hand side whilst two benches can be spotted within the hedgerow to the left. Beddingham and Itford Hills provide the backdrop.

Dist:0.2km<br/>The name of the field according to Beddingham's 1843 tithe map of which this is the last remnant, now a small green, next to [[2653744]] and [[2653719]] which were built on the rest of the field during the 1860s. Beyond is an electrical power station for the Lewes to Eastbourne line.

Dist:0.2km<br/>A tributary of the River Ouse that rises in nearby Laughton Level. The stream was once navigable as far as Glynde Bridge. The trees in the distance mark the location where a former tramway crossed the waterway.

Dist:0.2km<br/>The name of the field according to Beddingham's 1843 tithe map that was extended between that date and the 1870s to include [[2653875]] to the west and a number of other fields to the south. Beddingham and Itford Hills provide the backdrop through some early morning mist. The ditch in the field is due to the laying of water pipes which has caused the footpath between Glynde and Beddingham to be temporarily closed for six months from August 2011.

Dist:0.2km<br/>There are three sets of cottages, numbering 1-34 south of the railway line, numbers 17-34 are behind the photographer running up the hill from the Trevor Arms. Numbers 11-16 are to the west of the pub whilst these are numbers 1-6 facing with 7-10 at right angles. All the cottages were built for the workers of nearby Balcombe and Brigden Pits between 1860-81. Between the two lanes heading south out of the village are the allotments for the cottages.
