Tameside Urban Forest Friends (TUFF)

 (22 miles away)

When the going gets tough, the TUFF get going! A blog to keep a watchful eye on tree issues within Tameside, to improve the treescape within the built-up environment, to promote the value of trees, to increase their numbers and maturity. Far more mature trees are needed on the streets, in gardens, and in all the green and open spaces throughout Tameside. They are not something to be kept preserved in nature reserves and parks. They are a fundamental part of a Green Society. They are undervalued but their intrinsic worth will be increasingly recognised and understood. This is the purpose of this blog.

Tenants need to be at the core of everything New Charter does! Tenants, anyone, even New Charter workers, can comment openly or anonymously without fear or banishment.

Penyffordd and District

 (24 miles away)

This blog is about life in Penyffordd. It is also a protest about 1000 - 2000 speeders a day through the village. Also we have a bypass but HGV's continue to take shortcuts. I want to live in a village not a race track.

Meljo

 (25 miles away)

I have noticed that roads entering Edgworth have speed warning flashing lights and most motorist I feel slow down when warned of their excessive speed and are much more effective than cameras because of this, yet strangely there isn't one on Bury Rd. and this must be one of the busiest roads entering the village,I know this because I live there, I wonder why especially as speeds in both directions are rather high and not only by boy racers.
