The Tatton cinema opened in 1937. It closed in 2001 and although the façade remains the rear has been demolished.

This is what remains of the Tatton Cinema on Gatley Road but now only the front facade still stands. Originally built in the 1930s,The cinema was the centrepiece of Gatley for seven decades but closed early in 2001 due to the increase in the numbers of multiplex cinemas; in particular, the nearby Parrs Wood Cinema complex.

Gatley’s war memorial is situated on Gatley Green, though the original World War I memorial is this clock tower at the junction of Northenden Road and Church Road.
