"Speed checks are carried out between junction 14 and junction 18 (in both directions). These are carried out by police camera vans situated on bridges over the motorway. These measure the speed of vehicles using laser detection equipment. The introduction of these measures proved controversial and resulted in a public protest, involving a go-slow of several hundred vehicles along the affected sections of the motorway during April 2005." Dist:0.8km<br/>An authentic village schoolroom, closed in 1949, but re-opened in 1991 as an educational resource. Still almost unchanged, with some of the original desks, slates, coal fires and oil lamps. Pupils have a first-hand experience of Victorian education, in costume and in role. The day is run by ‘Miss Squire’, the Sevington schoolmistress.

If the Leigh Delamere Services on the M4 had been built a mile to the west they might have called it the Sevington Services.
