Seen here is the southern end of the earthwork, looking to the east. The sandbagging and fencing are/were presumably temporary conservation measures. The gap in the rampart is used as a public footpath.

In the distance are Pilsdon Pen [[35977]] above Sliding Hill, and the rounded Lewesdon Hill (see [[94106]]).

On the left is Nash Farm, in SY3798. The view looks across three small valleys carrying headwaters of a tributary of the River Char.

Dist:0.8km<br/>The church is very simple inside which makes the colourful stained glass window all the more impressive. It was designed and made by Arthur E Buss (1909-99). He studied glassmaking with W Aikman and opened his own studio in 1937. He also became the designer for a London firm of architects named Goddard & Gibbs who restored many bombed buildings after the war.
