Dist:0.5km<br/>Erected by John English Dolben in 1789 at the cross-turnpikes (now the A6 and A510). It probably celebrated the recovery of George III from a period of insanity. The faces displayed verses to give delight, and gave distances to various destinations.

Dist:0.7km<br/>The Wellingborough Borough Council site gives the following information: The prominent and distinctive Water Tower cost £1500 to build and was completed in 1904, with the whole scheme of public water provision for Finedon costing £13,000! The tower has now been converted into private residences.
