Dist:0.2km<br/>This sturdy war memorial is located at the eastern edge of Felmersham village at the junction between Memorial Lane and the Radwell Road. The memorial occupies an attractive position that overlooks the River Great Ouse Valley to the north.

Dist:0.7km<br/>The Ouse in Felmersham normally floods several times most years. The row of posts marks the field boundary on the far bank of the river, with the flood plain beyond. The road crosses the flood plain with a catwalk for pedestrians. In 2000 the floods covered the catwalk. In July 2007, the police have taken the unusual step of closing both the road and catwalk, although the catwalk is still dry, and have mounted a patrol to enforce this.

The shallow valley is liable to winter flooding as evidenced by the depth markers beside the road on the left and the extensive raised pedestrian walkway on the right.

Dist:1.1km north<br/>The several ponds at Felmersham are managed by the County Wildlife Trust and are open to the public. The trackway shown above and other footpaths extend around most of the tree-lined ponds which are formed from old gravel workings. The area is excellent for walking with car parking available at SP987583.
