![Dist:0.1km<br/>The pub is named after Queen Alexandra, the wife of King Edward VII. Prior to her husband becoming King in 1901, Alexandra was Princess of Wales from 1863 to 1901. This was the longest time anyone had held that title. During this long period, Alexandra became very popular with the British public, so it is not surprising to find a pub named after her. She died in November 1925.

There was previously a temporary chapel here, which was demolished. The land on which the church and the adjoining church hall are built, was given to the church by one of the original Catholic families of Cove, the Foley’s.
