Dist:0.2km<br/>Here Halifax Road changes to Park Road, and Elland Bridge is to the right. The Elland bypass is behind the trees to the left, and then crosses Park Road, the canal and the River Calder on a viaduct. A puzzling feature is that all the road signs around here show the road to Greetland as being the A6025, whereas on the OS map it is the B6114.

Dist:0.2km<br/>Halifax Road was part of the A629, which turned right over Elland Bridge on the way to Huddersfield. Now it is the western end of the A6025 from Brighouse, but only westbound; it has local traffic only towards the east, which is perhaps why this pre-Worboys sign has survived. The A6025 used to share Elland Bridge with the A629 and then go through Greetland and Barkisland up onto the moors to join the A640. The M62 plate would have been added c.1971 when the Pennine section of the motorway was opened.
