Dist:0.4km<br/>Taken to show the steepness of the hillside where the toll house (near British Camp) is situated. The toll gates were set at choke points where road users founs it difficult to avoid. More of the northern Malvern Hills can be seen in the distance.

Dist:0.5km<br/>From the main road looking north-east to Pinnacle Hill, with Black Hill to the right and the Worcestershire Beacon to the left. Below the land falls steeply away and stays mostly in the shade of the Herefordshire Beacon. On a cold day like this the frost stays all day.

Dist:0.5km<br/>Situated on the busy A449 as it passes below British Camp. Lived in until not so long ago, this tollhouse dates from when this was an important turnpike road which followed an ancient route through the Malvern Hills. The house has been repainted in the sort of bright colours that were used originally to make it easy to see.
