I have since been told it was the old School House for the children of Eastwick, renovated in the early 2000's for conversion to houses and not, as it looked, a new build.

Dist:0.3km<br/>The fact that the Essex/Hertford county boundary follows this stream suggests that this is the old course of the River Stort before it was canalised on a different course in the 18th century. The view is not as bucolic as it looks: the road at the end of this track is the westbound carriageway of the busy A414 dual carriageway.
