Dist:0.6km east<br/>Grotto Wood occupies the site of a 17th or early 18th century formal garden. The garden was associated with Roxford Manor (now the site of Roxford Farm). The wood contains the rather forlorn remains of three ornamental pools and a series of mounds. The grotto itself is long gone. The site is now a nature reserve.

Given the 5 years that have elapsed between the two pictures and the tendency of routes like this to become overgrown very quickly, it is a tribute to Sustrans rangers that they have kept it clear.
