Dist:0.3km north<br/>This photo shows the site of the primary school on Main Street during the construction of the new school buildings. The Victorian school was demolished in June 2004, with the development completed in time for the academic year starting in September 2005. The White Horse pub can be seen in the right-hand side of the photo. This pub was demolished in December 2006.

Dist:0.3km north<br/>Known locally as 'the Peg'. The pub was purchased by developers in 2006 and demolished in December of that year. To date (Feb 2008) no development of the site has taken place.

Dist:0.3km north<br/>Mobile telecommunications mast located to the south-east of East Ardsley Primary School. View is towards Wakefield, with the roof of the Morrisons distribution centre at M1 Junction 41 to the lower left of the photo. M1 motorway is at the bottom of the hill to the left, just out of view. Up until 2002 these fields were all used to grow rhubarb, with East Ardsley being in the middle of the 'rhubarb triangle', but rhubarb farming ended when Jim Auty of Old Hall Farm on Main Street retired in that year.
