<br/>This is the "hub" of the District Line. There are several branches to it, but they all meet here. The railway runs underground here, but quite close to the surface.

<br/>Earl's Court Road entrance. This station was built before the formation of London Underground, hence the now defunct names of the railways on the sign. Other points to note : the Internet Cafe signboard is being held by a person, whose job it is to do nothing else but stand there and display the advertisement. These jobs are very common in London. There is also a Police Box across the road, near the roadworks -- not a common sight these days!

<br/>This must be a new installation as I can only ever remember there being one police box nearby in Fulham Road, and that was still there in the late '70s. This one deems it big enough to have a no-smoking' sticker posted on the doors. In Earls Court Road outside the underground station.
