Dist:0.3km north<br/>This cemetery is owned and managed by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It was founded in 1855 when inner London burial grounds were full and several large cemeteries were established in outer London or even further away.

Dist:0.4km north<br/>The crossroads with Drayton Bridge Road and Cuckoo Lane. Although the appearance of the parade of shops would seem at first glance to have changed little over the past 50 years, the dairy, food store, sweet shop and newsagents have given way to a betting shop, an undertakers and takeaway food establishments.

Dist:0.5km north<br/>This classic Brunel-designed viaduct was built in 1838 to take the Great Western Railway over the valley of the River Brent. Lord Wharncliffe was chairman of the Great Western Railway and his coat of arms is visible on the right-hand pier in the photo. A westbound First Great Western express is heading out from Paddington.
