JAGS Choral Society provides mature voices in support of the girls of James Allen's Girls' School, but has also developed a musical life of its own, performing three concerts a year. New voices are always welcome - previous experience of singing in choirs is not necessary and no audition is required. The emphasis is on enjoying making good music. Stitches are hosting weekly fashion workshops for people to learn fashion trade secrets and re-invent items from their wardrobe. Run by 2-3 designers, full use of studio equipment and haberdashery supplies is included in each class, £20, starting 12th Feb 09.

Our Theatrebugs After School Club is suitable for 3.5 -6 year olds and takes place on Thursday afternoons from 4-5pm in The Goose Green Centre, 62A East Dulwich Road, SE22 9AT.

It starts on the 19th of January and runs until the 29th of March, with a break on the 16th of February for half term.

It certainly is an action packed hour! We start the class with the interactive story of the week. This term our theme is “People Who Help Us” and so each week the children hear a different story- with lots of characters that they love pretending to be like fairies, pirates, princesses and goblins!
After the story they go on an adventure, sing some songs (about caterpillars turning into butterflies etc..) and learn some dances! The hour is crammed with games and everything is done in a real fun and imaginative way.... encouraging the children to just be children.

I'm currently running a 7 a-side football league at Elmgreen school in Tulse Hill (SE27 9BZ). 3 out of the 6 teams are made up from local individuals wanting to play with like minded people, without the extreamly high costs that some companies charge.

I'm starting 2 new leagues in June and July at the same location but with a slightly different format.

Format - 5 a-side (up to 3 subs allowed)
Game times - between 6.30pm and 8.30pm
Team cost - £25 per game (£5 per player, team of 5)
Game length - 30mins
Season length - 14 weeks
Start date - Tues - 12th July, Weds - 22nd June

I provide a qualified ref, balls/bibs, trophies and an online fixtures, results table service.

Hello,

We are offering a week long art workshop for children between 7 and 12 years old.
The workshop will run from October 26th till October 30th, every day from 8:30 am till 3:30 pm.
It will take place in a bright and spacious artist studio.
The cost is £175 per week (approximately £5 an hour) including all material.

The workshop is organised by two British artists: Dee Elnajjar and Anne Welford. Dee is the founder of www.coolmummy.co.uk and works as an art teacher at a south London school. Anne exhibits her paintings in London galleries and works for a children’s charity.

This is an ideal treat for children who like to create, it is educational, inspirational and tones of fun. During the 5 days the children will learn about various creative art-forms: textiles and collage, the wonderful world of mosaics, painting on canvas with acrylics.

35 hours a week may seem a lot to you but time flies when our little artists are having fun and creating. Just as if they are at school, the children will get two small breaks as well as a lunch break. They will create three fantastic projects to take home at the end of the week: a lovely framed canvas, a mosaic mirror and a textile collage.

We are only able to take a small number of children to make sure that each child gets the most out of this art experience.

Early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

Having been formed in 1908 we are one of the oldest groups in the world. A recent resurgance has projected the group forward and now we reall represent the diversity of the local community and are heavily involved in local issues around Crystal Palace. We are fully co-ed and have in excess of 100 local children involved.
