Dist:0.5km<br/>The Carmarthenshire Antiquarian Society notes that Glandulas Lodge, Llangathen, is perhaps Carmarthenshire's most famous lodge, as it stands hard by the A40. It is very pretty, with pink-washed walls and looks very like a piece of Staffordshire ware. The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales maintains it is late 19th century, but other authorities believe it to be early 19th century as it appears on early 19th century maps and leads to a simple late Georgian house, with which it is probably contemporary.

Dist:0.6km<br/>In the Autumn of 2009, the decking of the old 3T MGW bridge was replaced using the existing piers. It is now blending in better with its surroundings. As no weight limit is indicated it probably means that vehicles using the bridge will be limited to those capable of negotiating the narrow approaches.

Dist:0.6km<br/>The small waterfall in the middle distance is where the river is overflowing taking a short cut at the neck of a meander. Presumably in the due course of geological time this neck will be cut leaving an, albeit small, oxbow lake.
