The supermarket chain ASDA started life as Associated Dairies, before shortening its name. In 2003 it was bought by the American retail giant Wal-Mart.

The Royal Armouries museum is the building to the left. Half term is beginning to become a regular visit to the Armouries and I am amazed at the ever changing skyline. Last year the construction of the furthest apartment blocks had barely begun, see [[[126840]]].

The tower at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, designed by architect Derek Walker and opened on 30 March 1996. Carlsberg-Tetley Brewing Ltd, looking northwest from Black Bull Street. The brewery in Leeds (one of the largest in the country) was founded by Joshua Tetley in 1822.
