Dist:0.3km<br/>The statue was erected in 2001 and sculpted by David Cornell. Conan Doyle is Crowborough's most famous resident having lived in the town from 1907 until his death in 1930. He faces towards Rotherfield as this was his favourite view.

Dist:0.4km<br/>Crowborough is a Georgian resort town, the only one in Sussex not built on the coast. Until the mid 18th century this hilltop known as Crowborough Cross was heath and wood and inhabited by smugglers and highwaymen. This view looks back towards Cloke's Corner.
