Back to Netball
Enjoyed playing Netball at school? Stopped playing and would love to start again? Looking for a new, fun activity?
My name is Emily Hearle and I am the Netball Development Community Coach for England Netball. My aim is to develop back to netball sessions in Leeds to women aged 16+ years.
What is back to netball? ‘Back to netball’ sessions are fun and enjoyable netball re-introductory sessions for women aged 16+ years. The netball sessions are aimed at women who want to try their hand at netball but have never played it before, for women who want to gain fitness or for women who want to purely attend for the social aspect of the game.
What does a B2N session entail? B2N sessions are a basic level netball session teaching you skills and techniques you need to play a game of netball. The sessions will help you to develop a netball team, join a social league or just provide you with an opportunity to enjoy a game of netball in a fun and social environment. Sessions can also just be about playing netball for an hour, with me on hand to umpire the games and offer feedback during match play if this is of more interest.
Where can I find 'back to netball' sessions?
Morley leisure centre, circuitNET, Tuesdays, 12.30-1.30pm, £2.80 for first 6 weeks, £4.80 thereafter
Carr Manor high school, back to netball, Wednesdays, 6.00-7.00pm, £1
Thomas Danby sports centre, back to netball –NHS employees only, Wednesday 6.00-7.00pm, starts 27th July, £2.
Rothwell leisure centre, Back to netball, Thursdays, 7.00-8.00pm, £2.80 for the first six weeks and £4.80 thereafter.
Armley leisure centre, Fridays, back to netball, 6.00-7.00pm, £2.80 for first 6 weeks, £4.80 thereafter.
Morley leisure centre, back to netball, Fridays, 7.30-8.30pm, £2.80 for first 6 weeks, £4.80 thereafter.
Rothwell leisure centre, back to netball, Sundays 7.00-9.00pm, £4.50
What happens if I can’t make every session and what age do I need to be? If you can’t make every session this is not a problem due to the informal nature of the sessions.
So what are you waiting for?? Come and join myself and the ladies at 'back to netball' sessions, see you there!!
Clayton-Le-Moors-Harriers Running Club
Clayton Le Moors Harriers or CLEM as we are affectionately known, is one of the largest athletic clubs in the North of England, catering for cross country, fell and road running. Each month we produce a newsletter giving details of forthcoming events, features and race reports and this will be posted to all members.
The Club can boast many successes at all three disciplines having won the Lancashire team championships on several occasions. We have several outstanding individuals who have won races and represented the county and England. We are particularly proud of our Veterans’ Section which has swept all before it on the road, country and fell. Harrogate & Ripon TTA Tae Kwon Do Club (WTF)
Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, that teaches more than physical fighting skills. It is a discipline that shows ways of enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind. Today, it has become a global sport that has gained an international reputation, and stands among the official games in the Olympics.
Let's take a closer look at the meaning of the word "Tae" "Kwon" "Do." It is composed of three parts as shown in the English spelling, though it is one word in Korean. "Tae" means "foot," "leg," or "to step on"; "Kwon" means "fist," or "fight"; and "Do" means the "way" or "discipline." If we put these three parts together, we can see two important concepts behind "Tae Kwon Do".
