The bridge was re-decked and widened in 2007/08 as part of the East Leeds Radial highway scheme to link the Inner Ring Road with the M1 Motorway at Junction 45. The deck consists of prestressed beams composite with a reinforced concrete slab. High containment parapets prevent vehicles falling onto the railway line below. Engineering design was carried out by Leeds City Council Bridges Section.

Dist:0.1km north<br/>The bridge forms part of the Leeds InnerRing Road Stage 6B. It replaced the earlier South Accommodation Road Bridge, whose abutments are still visible upstream of this bridge. The design and site engineer was Dr A. Okorie C.Eng., M.I.C.E. of Leeds City Council.
