Lynx Scout Network
What's your thing? Whether you're into abseiling, zorbing or anything in between - Scout Network could be for you.
If you're aged 18-25 and looking to meet new people, then why not "join the adventure" at Lynx Scout Network.
Run "by the members, for the members", we take part in a wide range of adventurous, social, outdoors, community and international activities.
In 2009 alone, we've sailed to St Petersburg, camped in the Lake District, partied at Alton Towers and much more. We have an extremely varied weekly programme, which includes brand new ideas as well as old favourites. In addition, through being part of Derbyshire Scout Network and the worldwide Scout Movement as a whole, the door is open to an even greater range of opportunities to try new activities, visit new places and meet people from across Derbyshire and beyond.
So if you're aged 18-25 with a sense of adventure, perhaps Network could be your "thing".
To find out more about us and see what we've been up to recently, visit our website at http://www.lynx-network.co.uk
We meet every Tuesday evening, normally in Littleover but this may vary depending upon the activity. There are also frequent weekend activities.
Membership is flexible to allow students, shift workers and those with other commitments to enjoy all that is on offer. There is no weekly subscription but instead operate on a "pay as you go" basis, with many activities being for free or next to nothing (the larger, more expensive events and activities may need to be paid up front).
Fundraising helps to subsidise some of our activities and, at the moment, all of our running costs - meaning that there is no Network membership fee and you only have to pay the national fee totalling approximately £25 each year; which covers your insurance, magazine subscription and membership card.
