Dist:0.4km north<br/>As with many of the public toilets in Sheffield, these were built by Sheffield Corporation Tramways primarily to serve the tram drivers at tram termini. Consequently, they were male toilets. The council later built female toilets next door in the concrete structure just visible. The Commonside toilets are interesting in that they are built into the base of a hillside. They are essentially underground, and were constructed with bridge-building techniques. In the picture is a student filmcrew who were making a documentary about public toilets in Sheffield.

Dist:0.5km south<br/>A close-up reveals a board with, "Try our home-made pies! 12.00-7.00". Parkers Road, to the left, is used by dwellers of Crookes as a way of avoiding the traffic lights, at the main crossroads, on their way to town.

Dist:0.5km south<br/>At the junction of Parkers Road stands this pub, the Nottinghamshire House. I'm not sure when it was built, nor if it was always a pub. The words 'Parker Place' are chiselled into the lintel above the front corner. The pub describes itself as, Broomhill's Premier Venue.

Dist:0.6km south<br/>Rocket Science Solutions, Clan House - graphic designers. Down the lane and to the left is/was Tarrant's Garage, but I'm not sure if they're still in business. There's been a garage down that lane for many years. At the junction with Fulwood Road.

Dist:0.6km south<br/>Apart from the few ridge tiles missing, it doesn't look bad for being 136-years-old. Part of the extension has been re-slated, but the extension and the outside wall, from the gateway, didn't get cleaned for some reason.
