<br/>Just one gatepost left of what was once a fine set of gates presented to the club in 1951,formed in 1823 the club was one of the first in the area not at this ground but one nearer to the Hall,the club in its time has also provided more players for the county than any other club in the area in fact in 1874 six of them were in the Yorkshire team.

Dist:0.4km north<br/>This was a Wesleyan chapel first built in 1814 and rebuilt in 1889 (from the plaque on the end wall). The Sunday School was next door, and both have been converted into houses. On the right is the uppermost of a terrace of cottages called Chapel Row.

Dist:0.6km south<br/>The A642 has been diverted so as not to approach the new roundabout tangentially, so the old road has become available as a car park for the residents. Cyclists are able to bypass the roundabout on a shared footway.
