Dist:0.2km<br/>This was designed and built by the famous Victorian artists, George and Mary Watts at their own expense. This mortuary chapel is round inside and decorated in an amazing mix of Art Nouveau, Celtic, Egyptian and Norman architectural styles. The cemetery provided overflow space for Compton's St Nicholas' Church.

Dist:0.2km<br/>The bridge, also seen in [[858285]], carries what is shown on current maps as the slip road off the A3 into Compton, but it appears to be quite an old structure so it may have been part of the original route of the A3. The lower road is part of the North Downs Way.
