The Blue Bell Public House was closed for about a year and reopened at the end of 2009 as the Bluebell Restaurant. It is seen here in the snow that unusually caused several days disruption across Sussex and surrounding counties.

Dist:0.1km<br/>The Column was designed by eminent sculptor and villager Philip Jackson to celebrate The Millennium and a thousand years of Cocking History. The plinth houses two Millennium Maps and on the column there is a spiral of bronze plaques depicting village history. The plaques were engraved by Cocking villagers under Philip Jackson's direction. The plinth was finally unveiled on 15 April 2005 by Lady Cowdray.
