Dist:0.2km north<br/>This road is part of the A1 Trunk road, and it is one of those roads that is 'never still'. We are looking towards Archway tube station here, where there is a major intersection. Sensibly, bus lanes have been provided in both directions. At one time this was a tram route, and trolleybuses took over in the late 1930s, these in turn being replaced by diesels around 1960.

Dist:0.3km north<br/>This station is on the London Overground Gospel Oak to Barking line. The Class 150 unit shown is headed towards the camera on its way to Gospel Oak. In the background is the station footbridge, out of use at present owing to poor condition, and behind that is the road bridge carrying Holloway Road. Half a mile's walk up this road to the left will bring you to Archway tube station on the Northern Line, or alternatively you could take a bus in the opposite direction on Routes 17 or 43 to London Bridge station.

Dist:0.3km north<br/>Gospel Oak bound 150129 coasts into the station en-route from Barking. Some of these units are named, this one being 'Marston Vale'. The train carries Silverlink livery, but is now operated by London Overground. The pedestrian footbridge is no longer used - it is probably unsafe. Staff use the Holloway Road to move between platforms.
