The photo is taken from a pedestrian bridge over the M1 Motorway. This footpath goes under both railways - its grey fences can be seen at the right of the photo beyond the first railway line, see [[64647]] for a photo under the railway.

This photo shows the footpath through the embankment of the Thameslink local railway , next is a similar tunnel under the main line railway from St Pancras to the East Midlands and Sheffield, next the pedestrian has to climb onto a bridge high over the M1 Motorway, finally down into Hendon.
