Dist:1.1km east<br/>There are a number of tunnels marked at the 1:5000 scale, but I have been unable to locate this picture precisely. Whether this was anything other than a drainage tunnel is also not clear. The tunnel entrance is approximately 5 feet high. Also noteworthy are the drystone retaining walls which are so typical of slate quarrying.

This photo only captures a very small part of it. You can see the village hamlets, Duddon Estuary, Corney Fell and part of Black Coombe to the left of the image.
